Here's a video of Chris Gosman and I at The Katherine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center in Old Saybrook CT. Chris is one of the guitarists in Exit 6 and I was so happy that he was with me on stage for this performance too. This show was produced by The Small Town Concert Series called Wine, Women and Song. (See the previous post) We were pretty nervous about being out there so exposed as a duet playing electric on that big stage with those great acoustics. We did it though! And it was a great experience. The crowd seemed to enjoy it and to be able to share creativity like that is what it's all about.
Sandra Lauren Lichter (Chester, CT and Woodstock, NY)
Joell Jacob (Ivoryton, CT)
The best way to keep up spirits and enjoy the coldest season: warming up with heartfelt and sensuous sounds from four lovely leading ladies of music – and adding a little wine! Three locally based, all four are accomplished writers of song as well as talented interpreters of song. Lauren Agnelli, Marni Rice, Sandra Lichter and Joell Jacob pack a real entertainment punch with four distinctive “flavors” ranging from acoustic folk rock, Americana, French cabaret, blues, soul, and torchy jazz. What’s more, they will be playing in intimate groupings . There’s nowhere to hide – no loud bands – just four bewitching, beautiful songstresses.
A lifetime creative, I work as a make-up artist, actor and singer. I sing with the band Exit 6 and also create my own original music. As a craftsperson I design and create through stained glass, sewing or whatever medium presents itself at the moment. I am inspired by humanity, nature, our animal friends and spirituality.
